Hyperdilute Radiesse in Severna Park, MD | Skinlogic
If looking in the mirror has recently felt more like looking at a stranger due to wrinkles, deep creases, and lost facial volume, you’re neither alone nor without ways to combat these natural signs of aging. Many, if not most, adults start to notice a change in their appearance as early as their 30s. Skin starts to sag, round cheeks fade, and deep hollows appear around the eyes.
The experts at Skinlogic offer Radiesse, a more natural alternative to the wide market of dermal fillers that provides smooth, long-lasting rejuvenation results. Some forms of dermal fillers contain substances that stimulate the skin’s natural production of collagen, while others contain synthetic ingredients that offer instant plumpness, but Radiesse offers both.

What is Radiesse?
Radiesse is a unique dermal filler used to improve lost definition in the face and certain parts of the body by replacing lost structural volume. As an injectable filler, Radiesse is commonly used to reduce the intensity of wrinkles, lines, and sunken facial features. At first, the Radiesse filler provides instant plumpness to the skin, but then the natural chemical composition slowly starts to work with the body’s natural collagen production system to encourage an increase in collagen. As Radiesse works its natural magic, the skin’s collagen supply will replace the initial filling, providing a youthful and plump appearance lasting for several years.
What Makes Hyperdilute Radiesse Different from Other Dermal Fillers?
Radiesse contains calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHa) gel microspheres that work immediately upon injections. CaHa contains phosphate and calcium, which can be found naturally throughout the human body. A newer and highly effective use for Radiesse is the technique of hyperdilution. HyperdiluteRadiesse is a reinvented formulation of Radiesse that has been diluted with a sterile saline solution and lidocaine mixed together. This unique cocktail makes the product a more easily manageable and spreadable biostimulator capable of remodeling the skin’s structure over a larger area.
When this diluted mixture is injected into the target areas where collagen has been lost, it triggers the body to produce new collagen and elastin over time. This phenomenon results in a youthful resurgence of visibly smooth, firm, and younger-looking skin.
How Does Hyperdilute Radiesse Work?
The CaHa gel microspheres in the Hyperdilute Radiesse initially fill in the lost volume. As time progresses, the CaHa starts stimulating the body’s naturally occurring collagen and elastin, encouraging your skin to create more of its natural filler. The gel’s hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon help reinforce a structure that mimics your skin’s connective tissues.
Over time, the CaHa is absorbed back into the body, leaving the new collagen produced in its place. Due to the enhanced science behind hyperdilute Radiesse, treatment results are known to last for over a year. With a proper skin care regimen and a healthy lifestyle, some clients experience results lasting up to two years.

How Long Does It Take to See the Results of Hyperdilute Radiesse?
For optimal results, we recommend that clients receive 2-3 treatments performed 4-6 weeks apart. The number of treatments and injections you will need depends on your skin’s overall health and the amount of skin laxity and volume loss you’re experiencing. Following treatment, it takes time for the collagen and elastin to build in the body. You will start to see results around the 3 month mark, with the peak effect occurring at 5 months. To maintain results, we recommend clients schedule a follow-up treatment once per year. You must be patient with this product, but the results are astounding!
What Is the Procedure for Hyperdilute Radiesse?
At Skinlogic, Nurse Practitioner Meredith Baker performs the Hyperdilute Radiesse injection process after applying local anesthesia. The lidocaine used inside of the Radiesse mixture helps to alleviate any pain or discomfort you may feel during and after your treatment.
To begin, Meredith will determine the target area of each of your injections. Next, she’ll begin applying lidocaine to the injection sites. Then, she’ll discuss how much dosage she recommends you receive to achieve your desired results. Once you’re comfortable and your treatment plan has been confirmed, she’ll begin the injection process.
A Hyperdilute Radiesse session takes 45-60 minutes depending on the area treated. You won’t need to worry about planning for recovery at our office, as most clients are back on their feet immediately after their session.
